Ten athletic fields owned by the City of Charleston will soon be getting turf. Mayor Amy Shuler Goodwin announced an $8.1 million contract with Turf Alliance that will provide installation of turf at a variety of fields throughout the city. Among the fields included: Bigley Fields, Cato Park, Kanawha City fields, the North Charleston Little League Field, Suppa Little League and Softball Field, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Center Complex. Turf Alliance will start the work in late summer or early fall.
