Neighbors Want Vegetation Cleared on Jackson County Road

Some Jackson County residents are unhappy with the condition of their road.
Eyewitness News found the West Virginia Division of Highways has taken care of some of the potholes, but not the vegetation that is putting the squeeze on drivers on Sugar Creek Road. WCHS TV reported the weeds have not been cut back on the right of way in more than a year. Weeds can even scratch vehicles in the town of Romance. Eyewitness News reached out to the Department of Transportation and the Division of Highways and the district engineer said the road is on the schedule to be mowed in the next couple of weeks, weather permitting. The second half of the road will be repaved next year.
