It’s STEM week, and the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Charleston marked the occasion with the opening of a new technology center. The new Optimum Technology Center will create a space for club members to use for high-speed internet access where they can work on school assignments, according to the Salvation Army. The organization will host a grand opening for the center at 2 p.m. this Thursday, June 23. The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of Charleston’s STEM Week is an annual event that invited kids from K through 12th grade to a five-day summer camp.
