After last week’s plea from President Biden to do something to stop gun violence, Governor Justice and others have different ideas. State Attorney General Patrick Morrisey says he will fight any restrictions on guns in federal court, and the governor is not behind the plan to ban semiautomatic weapons. Democratic Senator Joe Manchin agrees with President Biden that the ages limit to by such guns should be raised to 21; there should be red flag laws on the books, as well as the background checks Manchin has supported since 2013.
