South Charleston police arrested a man Friday night after residents reported hearing gunshots in their neighborhood. 42-year old Adonis Simmons of South Charleston has been charged with wanton endangerment involving a firearm after South Charleston police were dispatched to 1643 King Street following reports of gunfire in the area. Officers said Simmons complied with officers and admitted to firing the weapon. Investigators said they found a .380 caliber pistol inside the residence and 41 expended hand gun shells on the back porch.
