New Industrial Weapons Base is Coming to West Virginia

West Virginia will soon be home to a new industrial weapons base. The aerospace security company, Northrop Grumman Corporation, announced that it’s building a new 113,000-square-foot facility near the West Virginia/Maryland line in Mineral County. The facility plans to produce up to 600 strike missiles that could be quickly deployed to the field if necessary. Northrop Grumman plans to incorporate the latest in digital manufacturing equipment and will need expanded workforce skillsets for the engineering and manufacturing jobs it creates. The company employs 90,000 people worldwide now.
