Preston County Judge Has Passed Away

Senior Status Judge Robert Halbritter, who served as a circuit judge in Preston County for 26 years, has died at 92. Halbritter passed away Thursday at his home in Morgantown, according to a news release from the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. Aside from his service to Preston County, Halbritter served as a member of the West Virginia House and the Kingwood City Council and was a former president of the West Virginia Judicial Association. Family has requested memorial donations be sent to the West Virginia University Foundation or St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Kingwood.
