The website Stacker has come up with a list of the best school districts in West Virginia and Monongalia County Schools in Morgantown came out on top. There are more than 11-thousand students in the district spread out over 19 schools. The district has a graduation rate of 91 percent. Stacker used rankings from Niche to come up with the list, and Niche ranks school districts based on a variety of criteria including academics (SAT/ACT scores and state proficiency tests), teacher salaries, expenses per student, and access to extracurricular activities. Putnam County Schools ranked second, followed by schools in Wheeling, West Union, and Middlebourne.
