The website Stacker compiled a list of states that people in West Virginia are moving to the most. They used data from the U.S. Census Bureau, and the numbers showed the state that West Virginians are moving to the most is Ohio. More than six thousand people moved from the Mountain State to Ohio in 2019, the most recent year that data was available. Other top states were Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
