An Elkins man is under arrest for attempting to burn down his own house. Timothy McDonald has been on the run since Friday. Deputies tracked him down to a room his wife had rented at the Elkins Holiday Inn. McDonald is being held on fifty-thousand-dollars bond and is charged with first-degree arson.
