FBI Conducts Active Shooter Training in Cabell County Schools

Cabell County educators are being trained in what to do, should an active shooter somehow get inside a school. The FBI organized the training, making it as close to the real thing as possible, at least one teacher told Eyewitness News that it was disburbing. Teachers sat in their classrooms while the FBI team enacted an active shooter situation. When responding to an active shooter, the FBI training says running away is the best option, then hiding and then fighting is a last resort. Elementary and middle schools in Cabell County have their active shooter training on Monday and Tuesday of this week. In October high schools will have their turn.
