A St. Albans man has been charged after investigators said a federal search of his home uncovered a laptop with several hundred images of child pornography. Bill Griffith is charged after the FBI applied for and received a federal search warrant authorizing the search of his home in the 900 block of Baier St. in St. Albans. The FBI investigation centered on downloads of child pornography over peer-to-peer networks in 2021 from an IP address traced to the home. Griffith was arraigned on Monday and posted a $5,000 or 10% cash bond and was released.
