Gov. Justice Assesses Flood Damage

Gov. Jim Justice said parts of Kanawha County that saw severe flooding last week were lucky to not have fatalities and vowed to help explore changes for the future. The governor and county leaders toured the affected area and compared it to the flood of 2016. Justice warned that the road to big changes will be a long one. Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper said he hopes to get a federal disaster declaration, but other avenues are also being explored.
