The West Virginia Division of Highways accepted bids this week for a massive road project designed to improve a large portion of Hal Greer Boulevard in Huntington. The project calls for realigning intersections at 10th Avenue and Charleston Avenue, widening sidewalks, adding bicycle lanes, and more near Cabell Huntington Hospital and Marshall University. The Hal Greer Boulevard project was among 19 others that were open for bid, including other projects in Cabell and Mason counties. The DOH said it is reviewing the bids and hopes to award the contracts for the projects soon.
