Nitro High School is working to make sure students have the opportunity to work on real world projects in its engineering program. This year, the program has about 60 students and it’s been increasing each year. Last year, students made ornaments for the state parks. They created more than 2,600 ornaments with dozens of designs. These were then sold at the state parks. WCHS TV said the school has classrooms filled with equipment, including mills, laser engravers, water pressure engravers, and 3D printers and they learn something new every day.
