The West Virginia House of Delegates refused to approve changes the Senate made to the abortion bill. The House sent the bill back to committee and delayed a vote until a later, unknown date. The Senate changed the exception for rape and incest from fourteen weeks to eight weeks. The Senate version also removes the criminal penalties that a doctor would face for performing an abortion.
