Kanawha County school board members approved a contract change on Tuesday not to exceed $2.3 million to replace soil at the new Clendenin Elementary after problems halted construction more than nine months. Eyewitness News reported that board members OK’d the change in the contract with Wolfcreek Contracting to fix the soil so construction could continue. The $34 million project is planned on property off Elk River Road near Clendenin.
