The House Judiciary Committee hosted a public hearing on the Equal Protection for Religion Act. It forbids government limitations on exercise of religion. More than forty people spoke out against the bill, believing it would open the door to curtailing right for religious minorities and for LGBTQ people. The bill could pass the full House early next week.
