West Virginia recognizes missing service members with a proclamation

West Virginia has become the first state publicly recognize and support the Society of the Honor Guard, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A proclamation was read Monday at the West Virginia House of Delegates chambers and then in the State Senate at the West Virginia State Capitol. The Society of the Honor Guard is a non-profit organization with the goal to preserve and share the history of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and to recognize the nation’s missing service members.
