An initial investigation of a shooting that left two dead in Braxton County Friday indicates a domestic violence incident escalated into a murder-suicide. Lorelei King and Leo Raymond King, were found in critical condition at an Edgewood Acres residence in Sutton, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police.
The news release said the pair had both been shot and first responders provided first aid on scene. The two were transported from the residence by EMS, but later died of their injuries. State Police reported receiving assistance on scene by Braxton County deputies. The incident remains under investigation.
