Deputies say the driver was drug-impaired during Wednesday crash

The driver of a vehicle that crashed into a retaining wall Wednesday morning in Kanawha County is accused of driving under the influence of drugs. Travis L. Rhodes of Nitro was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Rhodes was driving a vehicle that crashed into a retaining wall on MacCorkle Avenue in Jefferson near Big Marv’s Bar.
