DNR announces winners in Big Buck Photo Contest

The winners of the 2022 Big Buck Photo Contest were announced this week with 20 youth and five adults winning prizes from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and Department of Tourism. Entries included a photo along with proof of an active hunting license and game check numbers. The Governor’s Office said finalists were randomly selected and winners were picked by a judging committee that included Gov. Jim Justice, DNR director Brett McMillion and tourism secretary Chelsea Ruby. Winning kids that receive a lifetime hunting and fishing license include Hadley Allen and Dillon Jones of Charleston. Adult winners choose to receive a lifetime hunting and fishing license or a two-night stay in a state forest, and Stephen Booth of Buffalo was among the winners.
