Crews have been working on the Jefferson Road project in South Charleston for nearly a year and 35-40% of the project is complete. Acting District 1 engineer Ryan Canfield said crews are continuing to work on the bridge area. Eyewitness News said workers are finishing the piers and setting up for the spring when they will be able to put the beams up. The next step in this process is setting up the beams, which should happen in April or May. The project is slated to be finished in winter 2024.
