A Summersville man is under arrest for beating a dog with a metal pole and then using a bicycle to pull the dog down the road with a chain around its neck. The dog has scrapes on her paws and a broken pelvis. She is being cared for at the Oak Hill Animal Hospital. The suspect is charged with animal cruelty and is being held on a thirty-thousand-dollar bond.
