Speed was an apparent factor in motocyclist’s death

West Virginia State Police said two people were killed in a motorcycle crash in Nicholas County after a trooper saw the bike traveling at 120 mph, tried to make a traffic stop and the motorcycle struck a log truck. The driver of the motorcycle, 19-year old Devon Brantley of Birch River, and his juvenile female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle in the crash on U.S. 19 and were pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the incident continues.
