Saturday afternoon, the West Virginia House agreed to proposals from the Senate regarding a tax reform bill that would cut more than $750 million in taxes, the largest cut in state history. House Bill 2526 would cut income tax rates by 21.25% across all tax brackets. The legislation calls for a 100% tax credit on vehicles when paying personal property taxes while small businesses would be able to claim a 50% refundable tax credit for machinery, equipment and inventory. The Governor released a statement saying he was happy with the deal. It’s on his desk for approval.
