Tips are welcome after a hit-and-run in a Walgreens parking lot

Kanawha County deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run suspect and the vehicle that was involved in an incident in Sissonville. A Walgreen’s employee reported her vehicle was parked in the store’s parking lot about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when a gray Ford Ranger pulled into the lot and T-boned her vehicle. Video surveillance show the suspect’s vehicle to be an older model, gray, Ford Ranger extended cab pickup truck with a step-side bed, a 2004 model year or similar, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The pickup truck should have damage to the front bumper and/or surrounding areas. Deputies believe the suspect was traveling south on Route 21 (Sissonville Drive) about 5:30 p.m. prior to the crash and then continued south toward Charleston after the crash. Anyone with information on the location of the vehicle, the identity of the driver, or if you have video surveillance that may have captured the vehicle during that time frame is asked to contact Sgt. J.A. Ratliff, the lead investigator.
