State Police said the victim of a Fayette County shooting has died and charges for an Indiana couple may be upgraded to first-degree murder. Michelle Dawn Smith of Fayetteville died of injuries sustained in a shooting in Oak Hill. State police said Smith was found in a vehicle at the Plateau Medical Center in February, handcuffed and suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. Andres Minorune Torres and Amanda D. Soultz, both of Goshen, Indiana are facing multiple charges. The two were arrested in Raleigh County and found to be in possession of three pistols the victim’s credit cards.
