Two people face charges after explosives are found in Branchland

West Virginia State Police said one man is behind bars and warrants have been issued for another man after explosives were found in a home in Branchland. Troopers said on April 3rd, they responded to a complaint that Hobert Dial of Branchland, and Brandon Rakes of Ranger, had thrown an explosive device onto another person’s property causing a fire. Troopers said they executed a search warrant at Dial’s house and found two improvised explosive devices and bulk explosives inside the home. Dial was arrested and warrants are pending for Brandon Rakes.
