It has been three years in the making, but now Boone Memorial Health has secured the funding needed for the new health and wellness center. Eyewitness News said it will be located inside the old Magic Mart building in Danville. On Monday, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development program announced they will be giving Boone Health a $14.4 million-dollar loan which will put Boone Memorial in position to fully fund the project. The wellness center will feature clinics, a pharmacy, a walking track, a fitness center, an educational center and kitchen and a drive-thru clinic. The cost is estimated at $17 million. The opening date is expected to be in mid-2025.
