The Rutledge community in Kanawha County met Monday night to speak with a representative from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency over oil and gas well concerns. Eyewitness News said some residents have been smelling gas for years and brought up safety concerns. The EPA is working on targeted testing to help bridge gaps they have in their data. Environmental groups have also toured the Crouch Hollow area and encourage residents to report any unusual gas smells to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection.
