U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and Senator Joe Manchin were in Weirton for the groundbreaking of the 760-million-dollar Form Energy industrial battery plant. Construction is expected to start this year, and the plant will begin manufacturing iron-air battery systems in 2024. The plant will create 750 jobs.
