A homeless shelter in Mason County is expected to close next month. The Mason County Homeless Shelter has been part of the Point Pleasant community for over twenty years, and has plans to close over a lack of funding. Plumbing and other maintenance work is needed on the building and the repairs could total more than $25,000, plus it costs $250,000 each year in regular operational costs. The families in the shelter now will have help finding new housing. The last day for the shelter will be June 30.
