A firefighter accused of sexual misconduct with a minor is no longer with the St. Albans Fire Department. The St. Albans Fire Department said it was made aware of allegations and an investigation into a firefighter, who was not identified, on June 4.
Fire chief Lance Carney said the firefighter was immediately placed on leave and was no longer employed as of June 8. An investigation into the allegations is being conducted by the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.
