It’s been almost a year since the Man mudslide, and damage is still evident. A mudslide during a period of heavy rain in August destroyed a home, injured and displaced a family and left a mess on Vine Street in Man. It has been at the center of a court battle since December and continues to add parties and complaints. Eyewitness News reported that the mayor hopes the court process can move quickly to get to work on cleanup. The owners of the home that was destroyed sued Judith and Davis Lewis Revocable Trust and the W.W. McDonald Land Company in December and more defendants could be added. The lawsuit argues that all parties were negligent with the land, resulting in the hillside sliding.
