Project at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital in Huntington helps a teen earn Eagle Scout honors

Patients at a Cabell County children’s hospital have found comfort in a recent service project, thanks to the help of an area Eagle Scout. Tristan Byus donated more than 100 handmade “comfort bears” to pediatric patients at Hoops Family Children’s Hospital in Huntington, according to a news release from the medical center. Byus has been involved in the Scouting program since first grade and remains an active member of Troop 17 in Scott Depot. The project took 128 service hours and helped Byus reach the rank of Eagle Scout.
