West Virginia State Police will be increasing patrols through the 4th of July holiday. Troopers will be watching for dangerous habits like aggressive driving, speeding, no seatbelts and DUIs. Troopers will be stationed around the state, especially in high traffic areas like I-64 and US 52. Construction zones will also get some focus. The increased patrols will be happening from June 29 through July 5 as part of the WVSP CARE (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) initiative.
