The West Virginia Lawyer Disciplinary Board is investigating a complaint against Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper. Rachel Cipoletti, head of the disciplinary board, confirmed the investigation to Eyewitness News, but could not disclose the reason behind it. Carper is also at the center of an investigation by a special prosecutor after he was accused of exposing himself to a woman at Daniel Boone Park in Charleston on May 15. Logan County prosecuting attorney David Wandling on Friday requested an independent investigation by West Virginia State Police in that probe. Carper has been recovering from quadruple bypass surgery after suffering a stroke about the same time as the incident under investigation.
