A family from Proctorville, Ohio, is asking for the public’s help finding a necklace containing the ashes of their beloved family pet. Amy Ticknor said her family spent Father’s Day at Beech Fork Lake in Wayne County, West Virginia, when her son took his necklace containing the ashes of his dog off to swim. Ticknor said when the family came back and got their belongings, her son forgot to grab the necklace.
The dog, who’d been part of the family for 13 years, died last September and she said Sunday was the first time her son took the necklace off. If anybody finds the necklace, they should contact the Proctorville Police Department at 740-886-6366.
