Pools in Kanawha County are set to open. The Kanawha County Commission announced Friday that the county’s three pools – Coonskin Park, Pioneer Pool and Shawnee Sports Complex are opening. Coonskin Park opened on Saturday. East Bank’s Pioneer Pool and the pool at Shawnee Sports Complex are both expected to open Friday, June 9. Pools in Charleston opened Saturday, May 27.
