The study collected geotagged Twitter data and tallied tweets that featured phrases like, “boycott Netflix” and “#CancelNetflix.” Under the new policy, Netflix is now charging $7.99 a month for people who want to share their account with households other than their own. West Virginia sent the highest volume of tweets about their displeasure with Netflix’s decision.
