The West Virginia University Board of Governors is approving a fiscal budget for 2024 that includes a roughly three-percent tuition hike and eliminates over 130 jobs. Undergrad tuition will go up 132-dollars-per-semester and a 152-dollar increase for grad students. The budget also eliminates 132 jobs across the university. The reduction in staff will save roughly seven-million-dollars as the university looks for ways to offset rising costs and declining enrollment.
