Charleston man will be sentenced this fall for his role in drug ring

A Charleston man pleaded guilty to his role in a drug trafficking organization. The U.S. Department of Justice said Charles Pannell of Charleston pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Court documents say officers watched Pannell meet with a co-conspirator in March of this year to get cocaine they found one ounce of the drug in the vehicle. Pannell’s sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 30.
