The U.S. Department of Justice has subpoened Governor Justice, his children and some current and former Greenbrier executives as it reviews a charity and its response to the 2016 floods. IRS records show a charity at the Greenbrier Resort called the Old White Charities and another charity called “Neighbors Loving Neighbors” was briefly listed as a trade name in 2016 and 17. The federal government is reviewing four million dollars raised, which charity it should be attributed to, and where the money went. And the Governor has promised full cooperation, and insisted his organizations made no money from donations.
