A Sciota County man is accused of abusing an alderly woman. The County sheriff sais the alleged abuse was first brought to light in the middle of last week, when the victim was brought in for treatment at the Southern Ohio Medical Center. The victim, 79 year old Patricia Vansickle of Franklin Furnace, died on Saturday, July 29th. 58 year old Matthew Vansickle was originally arrested for failure to provide for a functionally impaired adult, but was re-arrested for the additional involuntary manslaughter charge after the victim’s death. He’ll appear in court today.
