On average, a third of West Virginia’s bridges are in need of repair

Data from the Federal Highway Administration compiled by Stacker shows which counties in West Virginia have the most bridges in need of repair. Twenty-three percent of the bridges in Lincoln and Cabell Counties are in poor condition, according to the report with a slightly greater percentage in Roane and Raleigh counties. The most bridges in need of repair in West Virginia exist in Ohiho County, with thirty-seven percent in poor condition. One in three U.S. bridges is in need of repair or replacement, according to data, with a total cost of $54 billion.
