Public Service Commission to host a hearing in Charleston next week on proposed rate hike

A public comment hearing is scheduled in Charleston for a proposed Appalachian Power rate hike. The Public Service Commission will host the hearing in its main room at its headquarters at 201 Brooks Street in Charleston on July 24 at 5:30 p.m.
The PSC said it will accept comments on Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power’s three most recent Expanded Net Energy Costs cases, as well as its $641.7 million rate hike proposal. The hearing is the second of four throughout West Virginia. The first hearing was held last week in Huntington.
