Suspect is captured at home after allegedly robbing a Nitro business

Nitro Police are investigating an armed robbery at Joli’s on Main Ave. early Tuesday morning. According to police, Travis McDaniel walked into the business with a gun and made off with about $1,900. Following an investigation, police searched McDaniel’s home where they found him hiding in the laundry room under a pile of clothes. Police said in a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court that McDaniel told them he took the money to pay off a debt to a “bigger fish.”
McDaniel is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
