West Virginia State Police said a suspect was fatally shot in Lincoln County as troopers responded to a domestic incident early Saturday morning. Troopers responded to the Frances Creek area shortly before 3 a.m. and were approached by a vehicle that was identified as a suspect, and a news release said the driver was ordered to keep his hands in view but instead produced a handgun. Several shots were fired and the suspect was killed. The investigation is ongoing.
