Highway officials are planning to shift traffic along Hal Greer Boulevard as road construction continues in Huntington. Contractors have started installing traffic signals, sidewalks, curbs and gutters and the West Virginia Division of Highways said the shift spans from Third Avenue to Washington Boulevard. Northbound traffic will be moved to the outside lane of Hal Greer and southbound traffic will use the median turn lane. The project’s goals are to improve connectivity and safety for transportation on the thoroughfare from Third Avenue to Kinetic Park on Route 10 and transform the corridor into a welcoming gateway to Huntington.
